Some important points to remember when scooping out your wedding venue:

  • Make sure that the venue has a sheltered back up area that you can use should the weather turn bad.
  • Understand what is included in your venue hire package & if there are any additional fees or charges that you need to be aware of (You don’t want any nasty surprise afterwards).
  • Also check what their cancellation policies and deposit requirements are.
  • Check whether there will be any other weddings or events on the same day.
  • Ask to see the bridal suite / honeymoon suite to ensure the room is spacious enough to accommodate your bridal party, hair stylist, makeup artist and photographers etc.
  • Make sure that there are no other rules that you need to be aware of.
  • Always keep a written record or emails of all your communication and request with the venue.
